Caring for the Parentless Children

33 orphans are currently under our orphan care program. For the last three years, we have provided medication, school fees payment (including tuition, uniforms, books and transport subsidy), shoes and clothing including nutritional supplements and fortnight comprehensive medical checkups for these orphans. Orphans in our care feel healthy and cared for; you can help us to do more.

DIWA and the Islamic Education Trust led the Faith based Advocacy against Religious Extremism (FARE) for Peace project in 2015. Likewise, Thirty-one (31) Imams from 3 North Eastern States of Nigeria are currently undergoing the Imams Training Course in Empowerment and Peace Building (ITCEPB), jointly organized by DIWA and Da’wah Institute of Nigeria with support from Tony Blair Faith Foundation.

$50/month/orphan provides timely medical attention and maintains normal growth, as well as new cloth/quarter for 33 Orphans.

Girls helped

$120/girl/month is enough to sponsor the tertiary education of a girl child in Nigerian universities. This cost covers one academic year tuition, text books allowance, hostel accommodation, one year daily sustenance allowance, monitoring and stakeholder evaluation as well as quarterly progress report.
