Current projects

33 orphans are currently under our orphan care program. For the last three years, we have provided medication, school fees payment (including tuition, uniforms, books and transport subsidy), shoes and clothing including nutritional supplements and fortnight comprehensive medical checkups for these orphans. Orphans in our care feel healthy and cared for; you can help us to do more.

DIWA and the Islamic Education Trust led the Faith based Advocacy against Religious Extremism (FARE) for Peace project in 2015. Likewise, Thirty-one (31) Imams from 3 North Eastern States of Nigeria are currently undergoing the Imams Training Course in Empowerment and Peace Building (ITCEPB), jointly organized by DIWA and Da’wah Institute of Nigeria with support from Tony Blair Faith Foundation.

Our work in this area involves building water tanks, community wells, and rehabilitating borehole for poor communities.
